They are there for a reason but something else needs to be figured out to keep low-level extractors from playing in the top league or choosing it altogether. The best compromise currently seems to be - if you want to choose Diamond/Champ, you can only play maxed Archons. That would still allow people to play some of their cards which are not max and would also block all attempts of level 1 accounts to extract.

You're right, that is a great compromise. I think for now, I'll do what I see a few others doing and abstain from voting altogether.
