I must admit that I was originally sceptical about hiring Clayboyn to this position as there is no clear oversight - at least not without a delay and $5000 seemed like a hefty amount for an "unproven" employee with no supervision in a low cost of living country.
That said, Clayboyn has proven over the past two years that he is certainly a man of high work morale and with community's best interests at heart and even if 20% pay increase seems a lot, I would say that in this case it comes with some merits as he is no longer unproven and it would be hard to find a better fit for the role as no one else has proven experience on this role aside of him.
I will be supporting this proposal, but I hope this kind of pay increase of double digits doesn't become an annual thing.

I appreciate the support. I don't intend to just be needlessly pushing up salary and in general I live a pretty lowkey life. Suffice it to say, not having health insurance was very problematic for me last year and it's something that has been on my mind for a while.
