The All-seeing Mushroom and its Mortal Combat - SHARE your battle - Weekly Challenge!

What is Splinterlands?

Splinterlands is a card game, similar with Hearthstone, where you can play battle against other players to get a better rank or in tournaments. It is a NFT game based on Hive Blockchain, but the cryptocurrency rewards (DEC is the name of their native token) can be used on ETH, TRX, WAX and on the lately added Binance Smart Chain. DEC is similar with a stablecoin, most of the time, 1000 DEC being $1.

And now it is easier than before (one of my main complain was about beginners not having enough cards at the start) because they offer quite a lot of cards not to the one starting to play, making it a more pleasant experience - I remember losing game after game when I just started 6 month ago, so I am glad that the developers sorted this out.

On this week challenge we have a Rare Reward card from the Earth Splinter: the Mushroom Seer. This card got a decent 2-3 Magic Attack, 6 Health at max level, with Silence at level 1 ( Magic attack of enemy is reduces) and Poison at level 5 (Chance to apply poison every round). The only thing to complain is that the card is really slow at low levels. It you really like it, a max level card will be $20, and a level 5 Gold will make you pay around $52. Just check it out here!

This is a good card to counteract Alric magic boost on Bronze and Silver, but as you reach Gold and over, there are better cards than this. Anyway, is a good one to use, especially on the rulesets providing extra Armor or low speed reversed.

So, for the challenge, this were the starting conditions:

Mana Limit: 48

Rulesets: Armored Up (+2 Armor) and Explosive weaponry (all have Blast) - quite nice rulesets to test my Seer

Teams:

Mine - Scarred Llama (summoner), Flesh Golem, Orc Sergeant, Sandworm, Mushroom Seer, Sporcerer, Kron the Undying.

Opponent - Leer Dipswimmer (summoner), Sea Monster, Captain Ghost, Spirit Miner, Prismatic energy, Magi Sphinx, Axemaster.

I used a mix of melee, Sandworm to sneak on the last monster, and three magic users to avoid the extra Armor. Blast ruleset was a blast. The start was good, with 4 magic users from the other team having the magic attack decreased. Still, my Orc Sergeant died first, followed by his Sea monster and Spirit miner. Then I got worried for a moment, as his Prismatic Energy ability, Magic Reflect helped him overpower 3 of my monsters, but in the end Kron as a legendary did a difference and won the game.

On the side note, my continuous support for Splintertalk.io is going well, with my SPT tokens number raising a bit over half a million. 70% of my target reached and hopefully the 1 million will be done in few months. All of it is delegated to @monster-curator, as this account is doing a great work curating the best posts on the forum. bottom spt.png

So, you think this monster can see everything?
Yeah, it might with its huge one eye.
Well done on the battlefield.
Keep on battling.
