A new chapter in Splinterlands history: no more daily reward chests,and a brand new reward shop! You now collect glint in your battles, that you can later use on the shop to unlock different chances of getting soulbound cards, potions, merits, and even limited titles that will provide a boost to your lands and battles!
I feel this is a really good step in the right direction: the system is a lot more flexible in adding, removing or tweaking rewards, so will hopefully give the team a lot more manouverability on this subject. I do feel however, the AHA! feeling is gone, since it's a lot more fun to open a chest than simply spending glint to get a random chance of a card; furthermore, as the possibility of a big reward (such as a big amount of SPS) is now almost gone, it removes another important incentive to play.
All this can be managed though, and I hope that as more is done to improve a new player experience, all these aspects are taken in consideration. So no more complaining for me today.
Since I've enjoyed a short rest period, most of my cards were put to rent, and they still stay there for the time being. I'm now considering if I should remove the modern format cards and try the modern format for a while, simply go back to my favourite wild format, or leave the cards gathering some more needed dec. Oh, decisions, decisions... but the giveaways, those will continue for sure! Good luck!
