Very simple to participate and the day is today, June 1st.
All you have to do is to power up any amount of Steem you can - could be one Steem or 10,000. The idea is to show the commitment of people to Steem and to make a splash in the world where there are so many people that think that steem is nothing... We know better and we are showing it by committing Steem to be vested and not spend.
Hope you join me and we are going to grow a sustainable future together. Steem is certainly one of my strategies for my secure future.
Today is Spud2 because a while ago, @streetstyle initiated the first Spud Day and it was a huge success. Day 2 will be even bigger and better and there is so much going on on the Steem Blockchain right now - it is amazing!

I see you are from San Diego, maybe you should interview for your podcast @ackza although some love him some hate him, he is definitely a crypto-enthusiast and knows a lot. He even has a token for your city (SAND) San Diego Coin made off the Steem Blockchain. Again, thanks for supporting.
Thank you. I have talked to him before and organized several meetups in San Diego, but he never came. Also tried to connect otherwise to cooperate on growing the San Diego Steem community - again, nada. So, I think I pass :) But thank you for pointing it out.
Oh ok... I guess he dances to his own beat... his loss
