Imran Awan is Suspected of Intercepting Sensitive Government Information and Storing the Data on an External Server.
With increased attention directed towards the properties of Imran Awan I thought I’d take a closer look at one of the Virginia homes he’s closely associated with. The Thomas Drive home in Springfield is an important piece in understanding the Awan case.

The address is the location to have reports surface over a domestic disturbance involving S. Gilani (wife of Muhammad Shah), who is believed to be Imran Awan’s step-mother, was the first report made on the subject of the Awans by The Daily Caller’s Luke Rosiak.
A police report made of the incident occurring on January 5th 2017, provides important details about the character of Imran Awan, the former IT staffer for DWS.

In addition, Abid Awan another Awan that works in IT for the US congress has been tied to the address. The address appears in the 2017 police report concerning the domestic dispute involving the step-mother Gilani and in his 2012 bankruptcy filing, Abid Awan indicates Thomas Drive as one of two residences.

A former tenant who rented the Sprayer St., Alexandria, property from Imran disclosed several pieces of information regarding the property. As we know, Imran used his IT skills to conduct surveillance on his own step mother by bugging Gilani’s phone and by implanting devices in the Thomas Dr. home.
There’s some speculation that Imran been involved in the hacking of Laurel Everly’s phone and possible her laptop as well (which went missing for several days until it reappeared on her bed).
Another piece of information revealed by Mrs. Everly is that there were two sheds at the Sprayer address that were always locked and off limits to the tenants.
Laurel described how she raised the issue with Imran about the shed attached to the side of the car port. She was concerned about the light always staying on in the car port as well as a light coming from the locked shed that was always on and she's the one who's paying the electrical bill. Imran told her not to worry about that, it was a light connected to a fan to help cool the items that were held in storage in the shed.
This piece of information has led many to speculate that the shed attached to the carport was possibly housing the external server that Awan is suspected of using to collect information from congress.
Adding more fuel to the fire is a seemingly innocuous video made by Laurel of her children skateboarding in the basement. Members of Crowd Source the Truth zeroed in on a Cox cable internet router and cable splitter coming out of the wall.
CrowdSource Editor Jason Goodman said photo analysis pulled from video supplied by the former Awan tenant isolates snap shots of a network hub and modem that Awan likely used to sync to clandestine computers at the residence.

The Sprayer street address is not the only Awan property with a shed, the Thomas Drive address also has a structure in the backyard. Perhaps calling this structure a shed may not be entirely accurate as it appears to be quite large and could very well be living quarters or some kind of a cottage.

What’s interesting about this structure is that it has 2 satellite dishes mounted on the roof. There's also a second shed, perhaps a wood shed, along the fence. Also, the Google-maps street view photos were taken in 2012 and at the time Imran's step-mother S. Gilani likely lived at the property. Abid Awan also recorded the home in his 2012 bankruptcy filing.

Of course, having 1 or 2 satellite dishes at a home is completely common and does not prove anything. Yet, considering the M.O. of Imran Awan, it could be something worth investigating. In the same way that the discovery of the Cox cable router came from a seemingly unimportant video, I'm posting this just in case. I have to admit though, it's probably less likely that Imran stored hacked government data at his family's address as the Sprayer rental property is a more suitable location for something of this nature.
Imran doesnt deserve any immunity....throw him and that bitch Debbie Wasserman Shultz in jail

The best place to hide stolen data is something that isn't associated with himself. He abused multiple women brilliantly without getting charged. He is smart and that is what makes me think that he might have hid them in a place that is not directly associated with him but he has access to that area.
If he has links to Pakistani intelligence than he probably send the data to them and deleted it. This cat and mouse game of intelligence gathering is quite funny. I am sure other governments also have operatives in the US for intel gathering. CIA also does the same in Pakistan.

An interesting thing about satellite internet is TDMS (Time Division Multiplexing). Via TDMS, a satellite modem receives ALL data from the satellite it is pointed at, including that uploaded by other users. Each user is assigned a time slot where their data is served to them, while they can upload continuously. The data is then winnowed via software, so each user is only served what they personally request. The other data is just ignored by their computer.
Cracking satellite modems is an unsurpassed means of gathering data.

Seems odd, but very circumstantial to me. Given the state of technology at present, if the espionage accusations were to prove true, I think that there are numerous simpler ways to remove data. And even more legitimate reasons to run a bank of servers. The thing that troubles me though, is why the hell would you put a bank of servers in a shed, locked or not, it seems a bloody odd thing to do. Unless of course the author's concept of "shed" is very different to mine.
I agree with you that it seems to be an odd thing to do but you need to consider the purpose of the server. As the theory goes, the congressional members that have been targeted have been provided Blackberry phones that sync up with the server, updating the database on a continuous basis. Therefore, as it's an ongoing operation there needs to be a place to store the server(s) and the incoming data outside of the capital. The data from the Blackberries is most likely synced up with a laptop in the congressional library and the Rayburn building where a laptop belonging to Imran was discovered.
The physical location of the server is important and if you were stealing sensitive data from congress you would want to store the server someplace that's at an arms length. The Sprayer street address works well as if the servers were discovered it might buy the culprits time to escape and it would be possible to frame the tenant of the property instead.
Once the authorities have the linked computer, it should be an open and shut case; lock em up and throw away the key. What about the clown, or traitor, who gave them access?
To me "shed" isn't a secure or particularly suitable site for electronic equipment, a matter of understanding of terms I'm thinking. Different countries and different vernacular.
I do not doubt espionage in this instance. There is a lot more of that happening than people could ever realise. The world leaders in espionage right now are China with their spy satellites...

@v4vapid. While I agree that the man may be a vile creature. ANd his dastardly deeds should be exposed. That said, there seems to be a lot of rumor-mongering and hearsay in this piece. For example:

There are several other instances that I can point to, however, it would be sort of a banality to do so. I believe in exposing the reprehensible and those who do reprehensible things. We, however, need to be responsible in the way we disseminate information.
I completely admit that this is speculation but not without reason. Here are a few examples off the top of my head.
The police report (2017) - Gilani reported that she was being held captive and that Imran told her there were devices in the home and they were monitoring her phone..
Laurel, tenant on Sprayer street, had her email hacked and her contacts were receiving strange emails from her account.
Another tenant of Imran's, Andre Taggart, discovered computer equipment in the Lorton home that had government markings
A laptop belonging to Imran is discovered in the Rayburn building and is being held as evidence by the capital police
Imran Awan was banned from the congressional network after the laptop sparked an investigation into his activities.
Imran Awan is an IT expert
