The wife and I go on an annual adventure to watch bald eagles in #Squamish BC. This year, we were lucky enough to get a couple unexpected views of a deer and salmon swimming upstream to spawn. A pleasant surprise to say the least. Initially, we were out to see the blad eagles and to view a major washout of a local FSR (Forest Service Road), but we were still a little early for the eagles. We'll have to head back between christmas and new years to see if we can get some better views of the eagles. In the meantime, we put up this short video of what we did see - hope you enjoy.
Looks really pretty out there. We get bald eagles showing up around my property. When we kill a deer we leave the gut pile for them to pick from. Such big birds.
yeah they are amazing birds. Been trying to get back up to do a bit of filming, but the weather just isn't cooperating - and the Christmas season puts a damper on things as well - but hopefully I'll get to catch them before they totally bugger off.....
