At the end of the day, family is all we can count on..
First I'll start by saying family isn’t the people who are given to you in life, personally I feel they are the people who came along when you needed them the most..
Family: (countable noun [with singular or plural verb])
:any group of persons closely related to each other by blood as parents, children, uncles, aunts, or cousins..

I consider it wrong in some ways. In too many cases the people who love and support you the most aren’t always blood related. People always say that blood is thicker than water, but in reality that’s not true..
.
This might not be an approved dictionary definition but family isn’t always someone who shares the same blood, DNA, or last name as you. Family can also be someone who is in your life and cares about your well being and happiness more than anything..

There's also a misconception, family doesn’t have to be someone who came into your life years ago, it can be someone who showed up out of the blue and made your life better..
(and I've barely known my steemit-uyo family for less than 3 months)

It is someone who supports you in everything you do. A person who cares about you and only wants the best for you..
(I've had lots of steemians guide me and mentor me in one way or the other)

Family is someone who is there for your during your greatest accomplishments and also unfortunate failures. Family is someone who takes the time out of their day to make you a part of theirs..
(Taking out time to check out your posts and upvoting you without just passing)

Family isn’t the people who are given to you in life, they are the people who come along when you needed them the most..
(steemit has given me the opportunity of making some extra cash when i need it the most)

They aren’t the people that just happen to be in your family. They are people that teach you what family really is all about..
(and teaching me how to make more money each passing day)

Family isn’t always blood. Family is someone who loves and cares for you like you are their own, even if you're not..
(I have felt that way since I joined the community)

With these few points of mine, i can boldly say the people I've got to meet physically and virtually on steemit are my family..

Because for someone to invite you in, mentor you and upvote you, the person truly means well for you..
