Sustainable Tourism Practices–Mountain vs. Non-Mountain Accommodation Establishments in Bulgaria

Abstract: The goal of current paper is to identify the degree of application of various sustainable practices by Bulgarian accommodation establishments and pinpoint the differences that exist between mountain and non-mountain properties. Findings are based on empirical research among 86 establishments, out of 3776 properties operating in Bulgaria as of 1st January 2012, and mountain establishments (n= 26) represent 30.95% of the sample.
