hello everyone , hope you all are doing great, this is another review section and today, i will be reviewing a wallet dapp, MEET.ONE,
meet.one is a portal to eos ecology, on the 30th of june 2018 it is designed :
1 to expand the eos ecosystem
2 to reduce the eos cost and usage threshold
3 to promote the improvement of trustless internet and block producers coupled with developers thereby also promoting the flow of usage
one of the major responsibility of this dapp is to make stable and prosper the eos network, it seeks to curb the barrier preventing users from participating in the eos ecosystem.
In the app users have the ability to manage assets, transact ram and cpu i.e buying and selling to register accounts and the hike in the ram prices is a major hindrance to the users, therefore an account was created which is 1freeaccount. this allows each users to create eos accounts for free.
the MEET.ONE is really a gamechanger.
GETTING STARTED
how to import eos wallet
if you already have an eos wallet import your eos wallet into it, like i did when i opened back then.
under the assets tab
click on import wallet, click on the account to enter, prior to this, you should have entered your private key and set a password
##creating eos account
go to add an eos wallet
enter a 12 character long account name,
set a password to create your eos wallet.
After you have created you will be able to see your eos account under the assets tab. Because creating eos account requires resources you will see 3.97kb 0.01 eos worth of cpu and 0.01eos worth of net that was bought for you by the meet.one
precautions to take
- the account name is unique and it must be 12 characters long, nothing less nothing more, it may refuse you to open the account if it is short of 12 or more than 12.
Account name only supports lowercase and numbers 1-5, anything short of this you will meet a barrier in openining the account - make sure you copy your private key correctly.
the meet.one team does not have access to or request for your private key information. before you uninstall the app make sure you have backed up your private key because to login back, you will need your private key.
MANAGING YOUR EOS ASSESTS
- transfering eos token: youe eos address is your 12 character account name, be sure the account name is correct before making any transaction so as not to loose out.
2.registering for more eos accounts: if you are not satisfied with the previous account name, you can create another as a public key can be linked to multiple eos account - buying and selling of ram: this is very essential in the eos side chain, before carrying out ram ransactions
0.01- 0.02 eos needs to be staked
