Actually, as you can see from this list, being in the #2 spot, I'm continually being overlooked as a hard-working, dedicated contributor of diverse content that has little to do with me being female (at least, I am not consciously aware of pushing the male gaze envelope). Providing a much needed stress-relieving service like the Secret Writer has nothing to do with "boobs" and quite frankly I am really tired of hearing men whine about their lack of upvotes due to their mammary-deficient state. It's getting really old. Now, I'm not denying that the male gaze has not accounted for a lot of upvotes, sure, but by oversimplifying the situation, you lump all women in the sexploitation category, which is rather annoying.
The vast majority of my Secret Writer customers are men, so my business model actually has nothing whatsoever to do with exploiting my own sexuality to get upvotes. I had no idea that men would be the vast majority of secret providers, so that indicates that they do not have as many social outlets as women.
My efforts, which have paid off consistently, seem always to be overlooked and misunderstood, while the males continue to whine their pathetic "boobs" cry. Why not turn your energies into something that both benefits the community, the people and yourself?
As I've said from the beginning, the real issue is this: how many whales are female? Until the power dynamics are more balanced, this place will continue to be a sexist environment. The power dynamics are already beginning to shift and I still don't see content coming from the men that I'd like to see: more revealing of shoulders and elbows and more videos shot late at night when boners are unavoidable.
Oh, and great work getting these stats together. Glad you've decided to stay and put together really useful posts.
That’s kind of an angry comment, there is no need to turn this into a feminist debate, I do have the utmost respect for women and I consider them to be equal if not better than men professionally. But this was a joke, I know most feminists don’t like this kind of jokes, but guys like them ;)
Yes I’m staying by popular demand :)
Think your right, people like to see one or two posts that made it big due to their sexual content and think that all women posts now want to use their bodies to make money.
I don't think people over look your content. the fact is I wasn't aware your female while reading your posts.
@stellebelle i happen to like your posts, and i think secret writer is an incredible idea. That said, in spite of your many merits, you're just a crappy example of anything when it comes to what works and what doesnt. You were simply around too early to be in any way representative of what attention a typical poster would get.
Don't believe me? Ill give you the same challenge ive made to 3 or 4 of your peers. DO a reverse secret writer. Post your great, female, non-boob-related ideas and observations under a new screen name. Post a hash of the link here so everyone knows youre not cherry picking results, and see how it does.
Right now, today. Hot girls posting here get paid. Even hot catfish girls. And the history bears that out pretty clearly. If you're not stellabelle, or an author thats promoted on the slack and followed by bots, you have a far smaller chance of success than a post with a lot of boobs.
