Content creators (journalists in this case), can come here if they want. The important thing is the people that follow them over.
It's the same idea as bringing companies/businesses over to use features of the chain (i.e. free transactions). Businesses don't need to create content here. By virtue of their presence, hopefully their consumer-base would follow.
It's dumb as hell when people continually say "we need to onboard the masses". No, we don't. We onboard people who can bring the masses because they have a following.
Importing a "Pewdiepie" is infinitely more valuable than having several Jerry Banfields who bring in questionable characters. Similarly, having egomaniacs like @rogerkver will never do Steem any good. They are not interested in telling others about this chain.
I agree. We need the pioneers with a following elsewhere. If some big Youtuber says they are only going to post on DTube or 3Speak then they can migrate a lot of followers who will then discover other content here. I am about to write a post on this topic. Just sharpening my quill.
