my son spends a fortune of my money on gaming currency such as vbucks and stuff. the mindset is already there for gamers to use non traditional money (fiat) in games. I did a few tweets yesterday hoping some gave devs would spot them. Im going to also share this on twitter as it is relevant to what i was saying yesterday. great post
Honestly, after throwing this post together last night I may end up writing something that's more organized. As I was writing I just kept thinking of different advantages a decentralized MMORPG could have built on a blockchain.
Most parents hate Fortnite, but it is a "free" game. I played hundreds if not thousands of hours of League of Legends and never paid a penny (another free game).
I'm sure I'll come to hate microtransactions as my kids get older, but maybe I won't have to pay for them because they'll be able to earn crypto by playing the game and using that for the in-game purchases.
Kids today are of a different nature, i dont hate fortnite, i just wish they were using crypto and maybe didnt burn such a hole in my pocket, so if they can earn while they play then that would be awesome
Id love to see another post, its so sharable for other social media platforms
