Unfortunately no...there isn't any way to underline as far as I know. Which I've found funny since there is the strike through option...which isn't that far off. If you wanted to underline a heading you could always put it in an editor, underline the test there, crop it and bring it in the post as image. :)

In other markdown editors, I learnt today, that __ followed by text followed by __ should underline. Steemit might be using its custom version! But I can live without it :)
