Good day everyone, and welcome to steem report,
During this few days we've experienced and witnessed the full bug on the deployment of new updates on the steem blockchain, this new update tagged "*HF20" *has caused alot of buzz around communities and also to all individual,
Many posts have been put up either to appreciate the updates or to criticise the update.
But which ever way one goes with the whole escapade, nobody could be blamed of all this buzz going on in the sense that updates were meant to better the whole ideas of a project/program but it turned out things went not according to plans.
The steem devs have one goal of bringing updates and new advancement to the platform and in order to see good stuffs and everything going well, updates were always constantly deployed, and we all could testify to all this new improvements, especially the Ceo who has to take the full responsibility of everything that must happen on the platform and yes, they calls a time when every one on the steem ecosystem wants Change.
But notwithstanding everything for the first-time went totally bad after deployment, a platform for content creation and for a lot of investors who gets rewarded for the quality time they spent on the platform, restriction was drop hard on them, not really sure why such thing surfaced but things like that might have been done because of spam control and for restrictions of lower spamming bid bots.
But the fact is that such things will still continue happening but bidbots for me will look a lot expensive, since they are restrictions and a lot of users want this services to get their contents on the trending page of the platform, they would be more prices to Pay to get this service.
But that's by the way, the main deal about this report is to emphasize more on why steem developers had to be so fast in deploying a code they know users investment rely on,i know they are tempted in delivering a better platform fast for users experience but they should have taken into consideration that things like this might occur, even the good things tends to go wrong, not too long when we experienced the total shut down{offline} of the steemit website and accessing of the site took about a day before it came back online.
Though they were a lot of buzz going around that hard fork 20 was being deployed as at that moment,We all Had no idea and we later heard that they was a minor bug, many witnesses had to update their nodes and everything was running fine until recently what repeated days back reschedule but this time with the tagged name Low RC/MANA - Patches were released and we are currently running on v20. 4, though everything is stabilize, the minnows still have their fair shares of this bargains as this will awesomely disturb them on every daily activities.
Now the question i tend to ask this humble steemit community will be........
why was the HF20 updated in Such a haste with out a proper testing of the code before deploying unto mainnet
- could it be the anticipation of smt
- a better user experience
- Stop spamming
- fight against bidbots
- add yours
