A funny but great idea crossed my mind in the early hours of today. I wonder how possible it is to Introduce steemit as a course in the tertiary institutions, in Nigeria and all over the world. Steemit 101 as a course would have a lot to offer, challenging students to be creative in their respective field of study, financial independence to a large extent, building a strong united school community and making available a market where goods and services can be sold and purchased within and outside the school. I see steemit as an entrepreneurship course where different talents can be advertised and encouraged.
I believe strongly that steemit is a long time plan that is here to stay. A community that encourages original works will surely challenge students to think outside the box and give their best because their work will be graded as part of their test assessment.
I look forward to a course like this where whales and those well grounded on steemit are invited to lecture in the students from time to time about steemit.
To me, this will improve the society and reduce social vices to a very large extent.

STEEMIT COURSE OUTLINE
It sounds funny but somehow, I thought of an outline which can be used in the school. A course outline is very important for proper direction, contains aims and objectives of a course. Below is the syllabus created:
*FIRST WEEK: INTRODUCTION TO STEEMIT: Here lectures on what steemit is will be taught, the dos and don'ts in steemit, the benefits of being a STEEMIAN, what happens on steemit and how to succeed as a STEEMIAN.
*WEEK TWO: SIGNING UP FOR STEEMIT: Here the lecture will focus on a step by step guide on how to register and get your account approved on steemit. This includes students getting an active email, phone number to complete this process.
*THIRD WEEK: Assignment: Their first assignment should be given on a project of their choice which will be graded and used as part of their assessment. Their creativity and quality content would be used to grade them.
*WEEK FOUR: STEEMIT CLASS CONTEST: The contest should be related to their field of study and the best work rewarded in cash and marks while others will be graded based on their performance by their STEEMIAN instructor.
*WEEK FIVE: Steemit community service: There should be goals which should be stated in the steem guide on which I came up with the following goals :
a) Help the less privilege by giving either financially or materially to orphanages.
b) Scholarship for the less privileged or students struggling in that institution: Here student steemit select someone who is less fortunate to sponsor them in school.
C) Sanitation: Here students gather to clean up their surroundings or create awareness to host community on keeping their environment clean, providing waste bins to maintain that.
d) Youth empowerment through skill acquisition : Here STEEMIAN students will organise a training where they themselves will be taught skills outside their course of study. Skills like how to make bags, hair styling and other useful skills should be taught.
e) Health Sensitization: Here seminars can be organized to educate their host community about healthy living. Also, free health services can be provided for their host community
So, during there course, at least two to three goals should be achieved by the students. In a way they are giving back to the society and making the country a better place.
WEEK SIX: STEEMIT HEALTH DAY: health is wealth, this is very true. This week will include all departments in the university coming together to engage in sport activities. Thereby keeping the school not only fit but in unity.
WEEK SEVEN: STEEMIT RALLY DAY: Here all students and their instructors go on an intensive rally, telling people about steemit and sharing little palmflets on how to go about registering for steemit. It is going to be a sort of steem-evangelism.
WEEK EIGHT: STEEMIT SCHOOL SEMINAR: Here a seminar that will give deeper insights on what steemit is is discussed. Whales on steemit can be invited as speakers for the event to motivate and lecture the students on steemit.

WEEK TEN: STEEMIT SCHOOL CONTEST: Here, a contest will be organised by all the steemian instructors for all the students in the school. I know this might be a difficult one especially when a winner will be selected but there will be at least 100 winners with different prizes.
WEEK ELEVEN: STEEMIT CONFERENCE: Here all tertiary schools in that country come together for a conference which will be graced by whales and those deeply rooted in steemit.
WEEK TWELVE: EXAMS: This will be both theory and practical. Other activities the students has engaged in will be computed to give the final grading.
So STEEMIAN friends, this were my thoughts today and i look forward to this. I pray it comes through because it's going to improve the society at large. Thanks for the read.
