I agree and am committed to myself being here, being involved consistently to share who I am with strangers-becoming-friends-from-everywhere.
I think that's one of the greatest appeals of this site, over other social media platforms I'm a part of...which is only a couple...this site offers something really beautiful in how it brings us together and allows us to connect and be connected by people we'd probably never meet otherwise.

Seriously, I agree with you @stealthtrader that we can "make steemit great.." but not again, it's just getting better and better.
I love it here.
FB is where I have my closest friends and family. Instagram is growing super fast and awesome, but neither offers the comradeship and interconnectedness found here.
I feel like the "earn" part is more of a nice little bonus to all the rest of what this site is...it's not about trying to get your content to make thousands of dollars, it's about making new friends from everywhere who are really interesting, funny, intellectual, kind hearted, genuine...I could go on.
