Can you imagine a competitor coming in and buying 5 million Steem purely to bring out the down-votes :O

Lol, that would be a little like
Feel the power of my downvotes 🤣
🤔 what ever happened to grumpy cat. I actually don’t remember what happened post the war on bots
he runs a bot.

Funny - but true :D
I guess it serves as a pretty good piece of evidence for changing the economics :) .. I wasn’t really for or against a change, but I’m leaning a bit in light of some of these very rational posts (and a cat that flipped sides)
Well, he didn't quite flip sides as I don't think he was against bidbots completely, just the timing of them :)
But yes, I think a change would do a bit of good for the system.
I’d love to see a change. I think it’s definitely needed. My only concern is for the businesses that have been built on Steem and who add a lot of value here. I don’t want to see what they’re doing/planning get disrupted by a change to the blockchain level of Steem.
Then again, an increase in curation rewards, more flagging, etc. may actually help these businesses rather than hurt them. But I think we need thorough planning and these businesses such as Steem Hunt, actifit, splinterllands, etc. ought to be leaders in the conversation as they are the ones who may see the greatest effect
