How high will cryptocurrency prices go?

Now that we are hopefully past most of the blood letting in the crypto space, lets play a new game.

How high will prices go from here?

Specifically, how high will steem go from here?

Will history repeat?

Last year we saw a massive surge in crypto prices that put the asset class on the map in terms of investors and retail alike.

Steem was trading for $.07 in April of 2017 and it went over $9 in January of 2018.

I'll let you do the math to figure out how much of a percentage return that is, but here's a hint, it's somewhere north of 12,000%.

Things are finally starting to turn back up slightly with steem, sbd, and much of the rest of the cryptocurrency space.

Will a similar percentage gain repeat this year or are we in store for more modest returns?

Keep in mind that last year steem and sbds were somewhat laggards when the rest of the space took off.

Thus far this year they seem to be leading the pack.

Oh and by the way, my prediction is that steem hits $8 at some point within the next several months. I am not sure we break those previous highs this year, but I think we will get darn close.

Therefore my prediction is that the returns from current levels will be much more modest than last year.

Also, if you could, state why you think a particular price will be hit.

Hmmm if all depends on Steem's user growth. We could get $8 alone this year if the crypto market as whole grows. Steemit is definitely in its infancy stage. We have come a long way since 7 cents, but there is still a lot more to grow. Once people find out they can make money for their social media content, it will be like a snowball. Also, youtubers are getting less and less..just be patient!
