Body size and beautiful fur color makes this bird much hunted to be traded or just want to maintain as a collection of pets, so the population is now very difficult to find. This type of rare bird is the original endemic of Indonesia which can only be found in Bali. It is predicted that the population of Jalak bali at that time was only about 1,000 only.
