RE: Playing Devil's Advocate: Why Steem HF23 is NOT THEFT!

in #steem5 years ago

Most of the stake that was funneled to @community321 was a danger to the Steem network,

Nonsense. Taking what doesn't belong to oneself is Theft. Reasoning the Theft doesn't matter, a well reasoned Theft is Still Theft, even so, let's say it's no longer theft if the Theft is reasoned well enough, then, exactly what was the threat and how could that stake threaten the network, and how is the Theft itself now not only the largest threat but also the most immediate?

How is Ninjamined stake, which was meant to be used as a controlling interest in the well being of the network but which instead got sold off to be used by the new owner as they wished, not only to completely compromise the well being of the network but to also engage in theft, how is any of that a threat in the same way that any regular stake could be or is? It doesn't make any sense to compare brazen theft to people freely choosing to participate in a new, improved network, nobody violated anyone's property rights in one scenario and propriety rights were without a doubt violated in the other scenario.
