@berniesanders, what do you think of the current Steem flagging system? I mentioned that I have used it like the downvote button on Reddit, but it seems on Steemit that perhaps flagging is a core issue.
Do you think the system would work better if it was an upvote only model, or do you feel flagging helps with curation? I know there's some unhappiness regarding reward allocation, but is it possible that removing flagging altogether would eventually resolve this situation?
@tuck-fheman and @themarkymark I'd love to get your opinions on the same. I'm really not familiar with the background of all this, but since I've been downvoted into oblivion as a result of it, I'm at least curious about it now.

Well put. Humans have a strong aversion to loss, and I can definitely see people viewing loss of Steem rewards as theft.
Is the change to downvoting you're referring to mentioned on Github or somewhere else that I can read about it? As a relative noob, I'm not really sure where the best place to get updates on the platform itself is.

It's not that haejin is giving bad advice, but as there are so many cryptocurrencies skyrocketing, people do not actually need haejin and his advice to get rich. Many do seem to believe they would need haejin for that, though.

Behind the scenes they are threatening all sorts of non sense to force him to not accept what other users choose to give him. It has only helped the blog. More people now have SP to vote for him, and the big boom promised against us last night....well....I guess it petered out, which is for the best. Everyone just get back to blogging and trying to earn. Anyone who wants tips on how to advertise and promote over multiple platforms to gain an audience like that, feel free to hit me up. It's not a mystery, it's just a well planned use of good material and getting it in front of the right people.
Have you ever designed a GUI? It's usually a work in progress and sometimes you have to settle for the minimum workable version of a thing so that you can get the show on the road.
I have no doubt @tuck-fheman has a vision for what he wants to do with SPL, but executing on a vision takes a lot of time. It's not finished overnight
I have read them already. It is so sad to see this happening... divided I guess nobody has chances against some huge flags this guy is willing to do. He is not gaining followers and SP, he is dividing Steem and conquering it...

It's only an issue because people feel entitled to rewards before they're actually earned (at time of payout).

Without flags, then there is no way to stop abuse/spam as there is no centralized authority protecting the platform.

I have only looked a little into the war, but I have seen no proof that @haejin does make actually bad market predictions.

yeah, I met him 9 months ago for the first time when he flagged me in the Korea War ;). I was also @politics-trail.

When did you play on our site?
I created my account about 5 months ago. After that I realized that there are no open tables just some tourneys and I am no tourney player.
I thought about using it for the good cause, but playing on Stars or TonyBet is just so much easier.
If you implement Open Face Chinese Pineapple, I might give it another try :P
