Hey all,

I am not sure how I got hacked (fixed now) but below is a screen shot of when I was trying to get help in the Esteem discord channel.

Can someone tell me if this is the correct info I was given or was I fished causing the hack?

Just for info I could not and still cannot boost posts with esteem app.

I would say that it is the correct info...

If you are just posting and upvoting on ANY platform (condenser) it is enough to use POSTING KEY...

If you want to make payments (like promoting or boosting a post), you will need to enter ACTIVE key... I'm avoiding use of my MASTER key...

So, POSTING and ACTIVE keys are mostly used on STEEM.

So Bradley unless eSteem itself got hacked I do not think they where at fault, I would not log in using the Private Active key anywhere since that has access to make monetary transfers, just using it to sign transactions with Steem Keychain or Steemconnect, but the way that they used your votes does not imply that they had access to your Private Active key, just your posting key, that is the key you need to vote with, so where have you used your Pivate Posting key recently?
