Yeah Steemit has gone through several evolutions. When I joined we were making crazy amounts on the introduce me stuff and then there was a big drop off and you couldn't hardly get your stuff seen. The follow button didn't even work so that was a huge part of it and you couldn't see when someone replied to your post. It was rough. As time goes on it will get harder and harder to get established just like on any social media platform. It is pretty hard for most to build up a YouTube following now. It would take a couple of years to become profitable on a lot of situations.

I originally made my youtube channel just to record my flights #paragliding, and eventually I just started playing around with the editing, and found that its pretty fun to edit. So now I have a routine down. Go fly, come home load the GoPro, take a shower while its loading, then edit for 2 hrs. After all that, I upload it to youtube just before bed. (slow connection) I have a whopping 44 subs. I was thinking I would have a lot more that that by now. But, I have been on steemit since May, and I currently have 436...wait 437 followers. Un-real! Also, the trolls stay quiet for the most part. I love that.
Yeah Steemit reforms the trolls into functioning members of society here! LOL
Bahahaah!
