Well when you vote it does lower your voting power percentage. It is a percentage to influence your own post or other people's posts and comments. It doesn't directly take anything away from you. If you power is pretty low right now. For instance under $0.10. It especially doesn't matter how much you vote. Even if your vote is like mine and worth over a dollar I wouldn't worry about it. I vote so much and so often that I'm not worried about having my voting power real high so that I can pay myself more. By sharing and supporting people I will gain more in the end.

People can vote on their own comments but when someone is only voting their own comments and not even upvoting a post they are risking being flagged. There have been a couple of people who have been doing that.
