For the last few days, whenever I upvote anyone's post, including my own, they immediately get about 2 cents worth of steem rewards.
I find it quite a rush to see a post that has maybe 3-6 upvotes ahead of mine, with a zero figure for the payout, go to 2 cents when I click.
I'm hardly a whale -- only have like 600 in steem power, but this instant gratification is highly addictive.
You don't have to post to make money with the Steem blockchain. You can invest in a little bit of Steem Power and upvote. You can also just buy some of all 3 wonderful new forms of money -- Steem Backed Dollars give you ten percent interest, and right now can be sold at a 30 percent premium. Steem Power gives you 90 percent interest, though it takes two years to completely liquidate -- in the meantime it earns interest and lets you profit from your own posts, comments and upvotes -- and finally Steem, is the speculative cryptocurrency that might go to the moon!
So if you've managed to secure an account before this waiting period that started today, keep in mind you can profit with steem in many ways, including becoming the local gateway to the Steem economy!

when my votes jumped in value from a couple cents to even like 7 cents, a real psychological shift happened. continued once they climbed to over a dollar.
I've found such engagement to really rewire my brain to want to give me and change my outlook on abundance - was a big part of this last post I wrote
it's really an amazing experience, being able to so quickly & easily reward valuable contributions to the community. so cool.
What's hilarious is that when you read all the comments... they've all made 2 cents haha.
Careful with upvoting too much it will lower your voting power and you could miss out on on some dank gainz... but dont worry you literally have to spam a hundred upvotes a day to get your voting power really low (under 30%). You can check your voting power on steemd.com by typing your username at the end of the address like this... https://steemd.com/@[YOUR USERNAME HERE]

Love the optimism here! I powered up and kept some steem on bittrex to trade with. With the volatility of the market. Its not hard to short steem almost everyday. Trading fee eats a lil of the peofit but i think its negligible. Only problem is i am at work with no time to make the trades each time the price shoots from 3.80 to 4.50. Cant wait for a day off to make an extra $100 or so shorting steem!
