Nice initiative. I’m stockpiling accounts myself, mainly with my upcoming comic launch & conventions in mind, but I’ve been thinking about sending out some targeted invites soon. I use steeminvite.com. It has a nice system to it which allows you to send out an invite email link so the end user takes care of choosing account name, saving keys, etc.

I tried https://steeminvite.com but it wouldn't let me click on the button to send the invitation. Is the 'label' supposed to be the account name?
Hmmm... I’ll have a look at it when I get home tonight. I only went through the process once and sent it to myself as an experiment & to set up an account for a friend. Gotta refresh myself on the steps and see if anything changed!
I should have a look at that. Anything that makes the task simpler is welcome. I hope you, @blewitt and others can make Steem a big thing in the #comics world.
