This is exactly my own thoughts about Steemit, and pretty much the same ideas I am trying to promote to my followers and new users I am bringing in. A Steemit post can be so much more then just a dropped in embedded video - and often I feel many readers might not want to watch the video - so I try to include screen grabs from it with supporting text - so if they don't want to watch they can just read what it is about and seem the main events from pictures - or indeed short gifs made from the video content which I now find work really well (I use gifs.com for this). Steemit has made it so easy to create posts rich in text, pictures, videos and gifs - the only real stumbling block is your own imagination. Many of my posts now include tips and guidance for my followers on how to grow and improve - and I will keep doing this because I just don't have the time to reach out to them individually - but the message is plain from everyone who is working hard on Steemit - if you put everything you can into every single post it has a far greater chance of doing well then a picture and a few words.
