I started to disengage from those social networks:

First step: I closed my Facebook account
Second step: I stop using Chrome and switch to Opera

You can switch by baby steps ;)

      Those are great suggestions. If you write ab article about "baby steps we can take to disengage from mainstream media providers" I would LOVE to read it.
