Ignorance

I remember when I started on here a little over a year ago and tried in vain to get others who worked with me to sign up. I am happy now that they didn't as I would have expected most of them to have given up a long time ago anyway.

I can remember comments form others who were laughing at my post payouts and how much I was earning. It didn't bug me as I knew it would take time and I needed to learn and have patience. I overheard someone saying that I was wasting my time and that it didn't make sense.

One or two have asked me how it is going recently and how many Steem I had now. They are generally a little shocked and typically they ask me why I haven't cashed out yet. This I think is how the majority think and they are ignorant. They are even more confused when I tell them that this isn't part of my thinking.

Little do the ones know who were laughing, that soon I will earn more in one year on Steem than they will working a normal job. I see Steem as one huge opportunity and will make the most of it. It's all time high of over $8 I see as nothing to what it could rise to over the coming years. How much will their salaries rise over the next 10 years compared to what Steem could do. My money is on Steem having a better financial future.

I think the users who were on Steem and left because of the price drop are more ignorant than the masses who don't know about this place. Having had the opportunity of maybe changing your fortunes in life they have tossed it away.I know some are still here through delegating to the different bots and earning, but they aren't growing like they would if they were active.

I suppose a good sign will be to see how many old names we will see suddenly return when Steem rises in price again. I know how I feel and will be sticking to the users who supported me through these tougher times.

Oh Hey, We have found someone who doesn't expect instant success!

We have found someone willing to put time and effort in before expecting results!

This is amazing!
:)
And dramatic.

I can relate to this post so much... People laugh at what an individual post earns. With no ability to see the future where the cumulative sum is worth a boatload.

I am glad none of my friends signed up. I never said it to them because I prefer to blog without having anyone I know snooping in and telling my other friends. I like to keep it that way. You were right to keep going and you will be right not to cash out. All the right decisions so far

I can imagine your friends finding your blog. Especially Flood and Bungalow lol. I am sure they have plenty on you and I don't blame you keeping quiet. I think having others around that you know could cramp your style and change what you write about.

Looks like we really think alike :)

I think the people on here now all have a similar thought process when it comes to Steem.

I overheard someone saying that I was wasting my time and that it didn't make sense.

I've been told directly that this is a scam, something that's not sustainable and it's going to crash one day as it had nothing real. I also believe in Steem and Steemit, in building, investing my knowledge and time.

"I suppose a good sign will be to see how many old names we will see suddenly return when Steem rises in price again."

As the flies follow the horseshit, the average masses follow the money, and the old players will arrive to the zone, again :) They will shining as veterans :D :D

Howdy sir cryptoandcoffee! That will be so interesting to see if old users show up again when the price rises!
