Hi people im a new steemit user and people have been kind enough to reward me 2$ + on some posts but when i look at my wallet it says my account value is still .90 cents can someine explain why?

You can use https://www.steemnow.com/ to see when will you get paid and also what is your activity history. What I saw so far is that you are still within the 7 days period. So tomorrow you will get some rewards. Every upvote, comment and post will count. Follow me if you like and upvote my posts. Another way to increase rewards is to read people's posts, upvote them and even resteem them. You will see how everything will increase.
Its kind of stupid because i made 200 posts and 1 cent on each
Well the idea is to slowly get more followers and more people who upvote your posts. Some people might even resteem that post for wider audience and yeah sometimes posts make few bucks others just few cents. Try to keep working on the posts that might interest people.

No, I'm a new person aswell, and I believe it updates 7 days after you get that $2, so that $2 can lose or gain value in that timeframe.
Well the payout period is 7 days, note that the "value" of the post might increase or decreased in that period.
My first few post got 2$ + and i dont know if it depreciates but ive never recieved any steem dollars ever
You will get them pretty soon. When the 7 days period ends. Maybe you can make a follow up post when you get them
