I've been having discussions with others on Steemit and two questions have been raised by me and my peers.
- Why did Steemit decide to have the 24/hr cutoff for late curators? Content producers realize that late votes still count but we also realize that there is no incentive for curators to vote late. As a result, a post which is discovered too late might not get many votes even if it's greatly valued. I'm not asking that the decision be changed but I would like to hear Dan give a justification for the decision so that we know why it was made.
- Myself and other content producers are interested in the referral program. Some of us realize there isn't any direct incentive for us to bring in more content producers even though we also realize that diverse content is what grows the value of the network. The referral program would be mutually beneficial to current content producers who could shift into marketing. In addition, a lot of the skill set of professional social media is in viral or referral marketing and it's a secret weapon which could solidify the first mover advantage Steem is developing. This question is more of a request as well as a question but when will the referral program be activated?
Good questions, especially number 1
Can we get some back pay for this referral thing? Lmao, I'm killing it right now, well 8 people so far directly through me, all who haven't touched crypto's before though so I think I'm doing alright lol.
P.s. This is a joke I'm totally stoked just promoting this site based on the basic credentials and offerings of the site alone. But I mean if a referral program was set in place I wouldn't be opposed lol.
