[Steem talk] Time spent on Steem Engine

in #steem6 years ago (edited)

Have you notice how much time we spent extra on our daily #steem routine other than our usual blockchain activity like doing our blog, managing our funds and or lately some games. I myself used to spend about half an hour on post, many hours in replying. Nowadays, it seems I had to drag everything behind, after making my post I'm already too low on energy had to kick myself on to the bed and get rest.

This is what happening, every since #scot being introduced, there's so many condensers being introduced. Not that I'm saying the are bad, as an end user, we need to seriously consider whether have we enough time to amange these token. Mark my word, you can have all the youth you had, and time flies like an arrow, fruit flies like a banana. The moment you put down the tags, the next thing is 3 days later you'll have to claim them, stake them and manage them. Not forgetting there are people who make use of different account, delegate their SCOT tokens to those alts and started managing the alts to earn curation reward by doing upvotes.

Fortunately, now those condenser's wallet already support all in one claim button.

Also, thanks to #steemworld, now we have one to stake all, so we don't need to go through all the condensors one by one. Anyhow, we still need to manually filter which are the token we do not wish to power up all the time so we can trade them.

Regardless of the convenient, one should really consider look into their ordinary tag usage. If you not already know, #actifit can now support up to 8 tags, steempeak can up to 15 tags, so as @wherein for 15 tags. Some of the ridiculous 3rd party app like #steepshot has been with 25 tags for donkey years. Sometimes people tend to sacrifice their long time support tag and also their community tag just to dig a few more extra tokens, seriously guys. These token unless you're getting upvoted by their whale, the "income" for these tokens are really low, you do not want a chance of losing #steem upvotes due to skipping some of your regular tags.

Sort:

Missing all these alt sct coins, but definitely not missing Steem.

Well, there will be a threshold for everyone. Mine is already at the border. Really can't afford to spens more time in managing too many alts. There's only limited amount of tags we can use, why sacrifices steem for alts? I mean I still like to have some alts, but I think the essential ones will do.
