RE: HF21 & HF22

I find it insanely frustrating that a $.11 vote isn’t worth $.11...it’s only worth $.06, or more maybe depending on how much the post makes. Nothing about vote value is clear and it is definitely discouraging me from upvoting comments where my vote value will never get realized.

Far from killing bid bots, it just means bidders need to bid 10 Steem or more...just made them bigger.

Would you feel different about this topic, if you never had experienced a completely linear curve, meaning linear rewards which you described? Don't get me wrong, I get your point. But I'm still wondering whether or not you feel discouraged because it's not how it's used to be. Imagine you always thought you vote is worth 0.06$, but it could be more if the post/comment is popular.

That is a good point...maybe it would be less frustrating if the vote value was calculated that way...like it was $.06 but could be more. I 100% upvote and it says $.11 but then hit “vote” and it’s half as much and may never be more...that’s the slap in the face.

Still, it’s definitely in my interest to save my vote for a bidded post rather than upvote the minnows commenting on my posts (such comments generally don’t make 20 Steem).

This only increases the inequality that was already latent here, meaning that now people will only vote for posts with more than "X" votes to get rewards, posts with less than "X" votes will be completely ignored.

Exactly.
The small fish have no chance to get to 20 steem. Bots will be the only option for them now, so the upvotes have the real value and not penalized one.
