I've been trying to figure out how much curation rewards I can make with my vote over the last few weeks. My Steem Power was about 40. This is little more than a new account has and I speculate the results are still similar even with 100 Steem Power.

vote optimally
To always vote at the best time I use SteemAuto. There you can select accounts that will be automatically voted on when a new post arrives. You can also specify when and with how much weight you want to vote.
In the first 30 minutes after submission, the contributor receives a percentage of the curation rewards from a vote. The value decreases linearly, i.e. from an immediate vote 100% of the rewards go to the contributor, after 3 minutes 90%, after 15 minutes 50% until finally after 30 minutes all rewards remain with the curator.
I've set my votes to 29 minutes. Until the votebot reacts due to latency and the like I should be very close to the 30 minutes limit and maybe it's my turn before some others, who may have put their vote to 30 minutes.
I also vote with the full 100% I have at my disposal. A reduction would reduce my share and I would rather make a maximum profit with a few, well-placed votes.
the candidates
I have a wide range of accounts for my automatic votes. Besides a few candidates about whom I want to knock out Curation Rewards, there are also many whose content I simply like and which I want to support with upvotes anyway. If I vote for these posts anyway, then why not at a time that is also favorable for me.
The most popular account I follow there is @furiouspete123, which regularly posts contributions worth over $50.
I also follow the Curation Trail @utopian-1up, which votes for posts already approved at Utopian.io, but for which the vote from the bot has not yet arrived. This vote sometimes drastically raises value of the post.
here comes the money
So I distribute my votes at a very favorable time on contributions, which usually increase very high in value.

Most of the rewards from March 18th are from votes on comments. The only reward of @furiouspete123 is from this post, a post that has reached a value of almost $150. Most other rewards are from @fromhell2sky contributions. And one is from @markrmorrisjr.
Conclusion
My method may not have been efficient, but even then the curation rewards for my plankton vote are very low. Most of them do not even reach the necessary 0.001 SP to be paid out at all.
A well written comment, which gets a small vote usually already gets more than these payouts from a week together. It also gets people interested in me and my own content.
Don't waste your time and vote power thinking about great upvote tactics to get rewards. Reward the people whose content you like.
I will continue to use SteemAuto because I find it comfortable. As already described I have collected many users there which I want to support with votes anyway.

Um immer zum günstigsten Zeitpunkt zu voten benutze ich SteemAuto. Dort kann man Accounts auswählen, die dann automatisch gevotet werden, wenn ein neuer Beitrag kommt. Außerdem lässt sich dort einstellen, wann und mit wie viel Gewicht gevotet werden soll.
In den ersten 30 Minuten nach Beitragserstellung bekommt der Beitragsersteller einen prozentualen Anteil der Curation Rewards von einem Vote. Der Wert nimmt linear ab, das heißt von einem sofortigen Vote gehen 100% der Rewards an den Beitragsersteller, nach 3 Minuten 90%, nach 15 Minuten 50% bis schließlich nach 30 Minuten alle Rewards bei dem Kurator bleiben.
Ich habe meine Votes auf 29 Minuten eingestellt. Bis der Votebot aufgrund von Latenz und ähnlichem reagiert dürfte ich sehr nahe an der 30 Minuten Grenze sein und vielleicht bin ich so noch vor einigen anderen an der Reihe, die vielleicht ihren Vote auf 30 Minuten gestellt haben.

Ich habe ein breites Spektrum an Accounts für meine automatischen Votes angegeben. Neben einigen wenigen Kandidaten, über die ich Curation Rewards herausschlagen will befinden sich auch viele deren Inhalte ich einfach mag und die ich sowieso mit Upvotes unterstützen möchte. Wenn ich diese Beiträge sowieso Vote, warum dann nicht zu einem Zeitpunkt der auch günstig für mich ist.
Der wohl populärste Account dem ich dort folge ist @furiouspete123, der regelmäßig Beiträge im Wert von über $50 postet.
Außerdem folge ich dem Curation Trail @utopian-1up, der auf Beiträge votet die bei Utopian.io bereits angenommen wurden, bei denen aber der Vote vom Bot noch nicht angekommen ist. Dieser Vote bringt teilweise extrem hohe Beträge.
hier kommen die Einnahmen
Ich verteile meine Votes also zu einem sehr günstigen Zeitpunkt auf Beiträge, die meist sehr hoch im Wert ansteigen.

Ein Großteil der Rewards vom 18.03. sind von Votes auf Kommentaren. Der einzige Reward von @furiouspete123 ist von diesem Beitrag, ein Beitrag der einen Wert von fast $150 erreicht hat. Die meisten anderen Rewards sind von Beiträgen von @fromhell2sky. Ein paar wenige sind auch von @theaustrianguy.
Fazit
Möglicherweise war meine Methode nicht effizient gewählt, aber selbst dann fallen die Curation Rewards für meinen Plankton Vote doch sehr gering aus. Die meisten erreichen nicht einmal die nötigen 0.001 SP um überhaupt ausgezahlt zu werden.
Ein gut geschriebener Beitrag, der einen kleinen Vote ergattert bringt bei mir meist schon mehr als hier über eine Woche zusammen kommt. Außerdem interessiere ich damit Leute für mich und meine eigenen Inhalte.
Verschwendet nicht eure Zeit und Votepower damit euch tolle Upvote Taktiken zu überlegen, um Rewards zu ergattern. Belohnt die Leute deren Inhalte euch gefallen.
Ich werde weiterhin SteemAuto benutzen, weil ich es bequem finde. Wie bereits beschrieben habe ich dort Viele Nutzer gesammelt die ich sowieso mit Votes unterstützen möchte.
Wie du schon sagst - Voten was einem gefällt und was man unterstützen möchte ;)
Wer immer primär ans Geld denkt könnte auch scheitern - v.a. longterm is gute Communityarbeit (dazu zähle ich bedachtes Voten) sicherlich mehr +EV als minimale Curation Reward Gewinne durch Voteoptimierung ;)
Es gibt viele User die sich bereits über kleine Votes im cent-Bereich freuen.
Ich hoffe ich kann damit Leute (vor allem neue) animieren ihre Votes an diese zu verteilen anstatt auf Beiträge mit dicken Payouts zu voten in der Hoffnung auf Curation Rewards.

Ich hatte einmal wirklich viel Glück und habe durch Zufall ungeplant curation rewards von 0.015 SP bekommen. Das war sogar noch mit den 15SP vom Anfang. Wenn man also alle 10 Votes am Tag so perfekt setzte wie es mir in diesem Fall gelungen war, verdoppelt sich die eigene SP in 100 Tagen. Zu vernachlässigen sind die Curation Rewards primär also nicht. Groß sind sie aber auch nicht. Alles andere als das...

Sinnvolle Kommentare bringen deutlich mehr und schaffen Aufmerksamkeit.
Ich habe heute auf einen Kommentar fast 10ct upvote bekommen.
Außerdem freuen sich die Leute auch über meinen mini-upvote und schauen mal vorbei.
Es macht nicht nur mehr Spaß sondern ist auch taktisch klüger auf posts zu voten zu denen man irgendeinen Bezug hat. Dann noch ein netter Kommentar der das sowieso vorhandene Interesse ausdrückt und die Person kommt vielleicht nicht nur einmal vorbei sondern ein paar mal öfter.
Wie gesagt, seine Zeit mit Votinganalyse zu vergeuden halte ich für unsinnig.
Nette Leute kennen lernen und mit denen interagieren macht mehr Spaß und bringt mehr.
