Hi, Richard! Please help me, I feel a little stuck. I've joined steemit 3 days ago. I personally think my posts have a good content, but still they don't get upvotes. As for upvoting other posts, I really didn't know about that strategy. So thank you for the advice! I'll try following your tips. Here's my #introduceyourself post: https://steemit.com/introduceyourself/@diana.catherine/i-m-diana-ecaterina-neacsu-i-ve-just-found-steemit-and-i-think-the-founders-are-geniuses .

Thanks for the comment. Your posts are really good (I'd missed them before, sorry, so much good content coming just in that I don't see everything anymore!).
Here is my advice: Do a new introducemyself post. There was nothing wrong with the one you did; you had a nice picture and a very good description of who you are. The problem is that we've been getting a lot of posts that are formatted similarly to yours, and some of them have been fake. In other words, someone can write a couple of paragraphs and find a picture off the Internet.
People need to trust that it's you! These two posts (links below) show two possible methods of doing this. Basically, if you include a picture of yourself with Steemit and the date on that picture, it's much more reliable (than just a picture of you that, theoretically, someone might have grabbed off the Internet and presented as you). Or if you have a social media account on another site, you can paste a screenshot showing that you have posted on Facebook or Twitter, etc. and linked to Steemit.
Also, your later work is better, but your first introducemyself post needed better formatting.
Paragraph breaks. Subheadings with bold or headline text. Maybe another picture or two.
Begin your new introduceyourself post by saying that you did not know about the verification picture, and now you have included it, so here is your new inroducemyself post.
Then you can include the same text as before and format it so that it's a little more pleasing for the reader.
If you do those things, I'll bet you'll get a better reception for the introduction AND people will trust and begin upvoting your other articles...because they are good. Until you start getting upvotes reliably on your other posts, start them off by saying something like "This is original content, which I have written myself and am posting here on Steemit" so people know it is not copied from elsewhere.
Sorry for all of the verification necessities, but if you do that, you will start to get more votes.
One final step: Join the Slack channel which allows us to communicate directly (until they implement that feature on Steemit directly). Send me a direct message on there and copy it to Tom @donkeypong also. He's helping a lot of writers these days. When you post, let us know, and we'll try to get you some votes early on.
Thanks a lot for your feedback!
I thought about remaking an introducemyself post but wasn't sure if it's the right thing to do. Now I now. I'll entirely reedit it and make it better. :D
As for the Slack, I've read about it in an article and wanted to enter, but I can't apply for it. I've been trying from yesterday. I've tried by clicking on "Join our slack" under the menu button and says it's under maintenance.
Thanks again and I'll get back to you when I'll have my introduceyourself post ready.
I've posted a new version of introduceyourself: https://steemit.com/introduceyourself/@diana.catherine/new-introduceyourself-post-and-info-about-me-i-still-think-the-founders-are-geniuses. Hope it's better now. Even if some crazy fellow started being a troll... :D
