Hi Guys,
I made some toughts about the voting system in steem and want to share them with you.
- at the moment you lose voting power for downvoting / changing your vote. but there is no option to earn money with downvoting. at the moment there is no reason for a user to downvote cause he loses voting power and the ability to earn money shrinks.
- steem power shoul be similar to karma in reddit. if you got more of it, you should have more votepower, the ability to post more posts. i think in this case more people would convert steemdollars and steem into steempower.
- at the moment alot of new posts in popular categories will be upvoted by bots automatically (i bet this post will be hit by the bots aswell - lets see). i see alot of posts with several upvotes but no earned money. there should be a fix of this problem, but i dont know a soution for it.

Isn't this exactly how Steem works? (Unlike Reddit where to the best of my knowledge users with more karma do not have higher influence.)
