RE: STEEM down 82% this year

in #steem6 years ago

Hmmm, I actually wonder how rare it is. I've had a PC since I was 10 when the Commodore64 was available to the public for $3500. When the internet became available, I dove right in, and got a modem to connect. Later, it was Pentium PCs and high speed internet through cable or telephone. When Smartphones came out, I learned what a security hazard they were, and didn't get one. I've continued to not get one. PCs with internet are still a thing. I wonder how many strange stories like mine there are?

Sort:

I said relatively based on my region and experience, (United States). I’d estimate about 90% or more of the people I know use apps for something. Things like navigation apps are nice, but you’re right about security. Because so many people can track you by your cell phone now. Do you use cell phones?

Good question! I haven't used any phones in over a year now, but when I do, I buy a new phone that is an older model like a flip phone and pay with cash. My PC does everything a phone does and more, except go with me everywhere. I've been able to mostly get rid of phones completely.
