Steem really has he potential for hitting number 1!
The only point I see slowing this down is the lack of advertisement. Steemit should try to be part of conferences and meetups and generally start to promote Steemit with ads and stuff. The concept as it is is great in my opinion!
Yeah, you're right. But before promoting Steem aggressively, it needs to come out of its beta version. Steem don't have an easy and smooth account on boarding system in place even for the current influx. It won't be able to handle the higher volume resulting from advertising. Scaling up issues need to be addressed first.
