The idea is simple:
- You send some money (not a big amount for you personally) to special bot account. In the memo field you write a number of Steem or SBD per vote.
- Then each time you cast a vote for a post this bot will send your Steem per vote amount to author of the post.
- That's all! In case that you is running out of the money the bot will send you a note that you need to deposit addtional money to your bot account.
What are the PROs?
- Direct sponsoring of creation of a good content. And the meaning of 'good' is up to you! It is extended buisness model for Steem actually!
- Much more convinient way of donating in compare with manual transfering of funds to favorite authors.
- From now on your personal summary reward pool is up to you! Overall reward pool of Steem goes up too if the bot becomes popular enough.
- Motivation for users to start boast with sum of their donations and not only with number of followers and reputation.
What are the CONs?
- I am not a programmer, just the author of the idea.
- All descripttion of the code is in Russian launguage.
Here is @dobrobot account in Golos in case that some of you are interested. "dobro-" means that the bot is kind and gracious ;). This is the list of current donators. Here you can see what happens in Golos in stream view.
Disclaimer: I'm not a developer of dobrobot. @ropox is. I'm just the author of the idea.
I've thought about this too. My vote doesn't give much to a post, but I'd like to be able to easily give an extra 'tip' in some cases. A bot may be a way to do it. It won't be a surprise if someone creates this soon.
The Dobrobot gave me a nice reward on Golos earlier. It was a pleasant surprise. I like the idea of rewarding good content directly. It's a better idea than the "experiment" by far!
