1st place: Steemit.com
A lot of times when there are references to the Steem blockchain people think of Steemit.com.
Looking at Alexa.com this is indeed that most popular website overall but this is not the only way to get to those steem dollars and gather that steem power.
Steemit.com was the original domain where it all started and during 2017 there were several others that launched their domain and try to vie for the attention of the Steem bloggers.
They are listed 1,456th in the world
2nd Place: D.tube
And undoubtably this is the most popular way to access the blockchain but there are several more and I was wondering how those were doing
Are all those new users of our beloved blockchain sticking to their original way in or are they finding out there are other ways to post their content.
In my opinion the second in the list is D.tube who is really skyrocketing partly due to Youtube demonetizing their userbase and those are looking for alternatives and finding it here or in Patreon.
we can see that they have come out of nowhere and that the use is growing exponentially. If they keep this up then Youtube might be in for a scare. For the moment they are only at place 57,722 but it is still early days and really not bad for something that did not exist 4 months ago.
3rd Place: busy.org
Next that comes another place for the bloggers and that is a cool project by the guys at busy.org
They created a new way to post blogs that looks and feels very smooth and natural and one added bonus is that if you add busy as a tag on one of the posts written there you get one upvote from their bot (around 0.3 at this time) per day.
They have existed a bit longer then d.tube but they did go through a long phase of upgrades and improvements. Still this puts them at the 57,548th place a little higher then d.tube
4th Place: Utopian.io
here we find one of the ones that holds the most potential to further the steem blockchain and the steem power we write for.
This was formed by @elear in a stroke of genius (and I think this was due to work on busy.org but I am not sure on that) and this is a platform that basically connects open-source projects on Github with Steem and rewards the people that contribute and write about their work with Steem power or SBD.
This move actually ties a lot of developers to our blockchain and since they get paid in the coins they have a vested interest in seeing it succeed.
This site will not shoot up on the charts because it is not meant for mass adoption but it is positioned at a respectable 162,023nd place.
5th place: ChainBB.com
this is the odd duck out since it has lost in popularity. Chainbb was created by @jesta and he has reorganized the way that the Steem posts are shown and has shaped it into a form of Forums. It really is very ingenious and keeps the posts with active comments on top of the topic even if they are past payout, they are considered active. This is very useful for communities steemstem or the homesteaders for example.
There was a revamp of the website and that seems to have created a drop for a few months in the user-base but this also seems to be picking up again.
6th place: Zappl.com
This also is quite a recent creation and is trying to replace twitter in the same way dtube is doing that with youtube. Personally I really like the concept even though I was never a big "twitterer" but the big issue I have with Zappl is that they show up on my normal feed and I feel it would clutter it up for my followers. The only option I see is to create a separate account for Zappl zaps but between managing this account and @photolander and my dayjob I do not feel I have time to zap in between.
The site is listed at 829,538th place and also has a long way to go but I am rooting for them to succeed
These are the most popular front end sites to the STEEM blockchain. If you feel I have forgotten any please let me know and I will add them but if we look at the users of these sites alone I feel that the rank of steem as a blockchain would rank us in the top 1000 for sure...
what do you guys think?
Busy is number one for me. Steemify is a great tool to use too as a notifier.
True, I have been using it since beta, love it
But it is not really a website but a really good app
Steem will go to the moon.

your bot has no voting power, this does not make any sense, I would lose money on this. I would prefer to give my votes to people that write quality content or reply with decent comments on my posts
@felander i am not a bot...!!!
I share and follow the hits that have been hits. God work and achievements
