These past few years have been like a blessing to the cryptocurrency market. These currencies have become so successful that governments now have to monitor whats going on in this market. And one of these cryptocurrencies is Steem, which most of you will be familiar with, as you are using its platform.
So, I decided to write this article to show you guys how you can sell Steem, and get a payout with any method you want, like Paypal, bank transfer or even a cheque. It is a very easy process, and can be done by anyone.
You are going to need to use blocktrades and the localbitcoin sites for this. So, lets jump straight into it.
Step 1: Go to your Steemit wallet, and find the amount that you have, or you want to sell. This could be STEEM or Steem Dollars.
Step 2: Go to blocktrades.us and fill out the form. Select the currency you want to convert from, which should be STEEM or Steem Dollars, and enter the amount you want to convert.
Now, in the recieve section, select the currency as Bitcoin, and the amount of bitcoin you will get from your steem will already be calculated for you.
REMEMBER that you do not need to sign up to blocktrades to use it.
Step 3: Keep this open, and go to the localbitcoin website. Sign up for this. It is a very quick process, and will not take much of your time. After signing up, it may ask for your documents, so get those verified.
Now, on the top right, click on the drop down menu and click on the 'Wallet' option. It will open your bitcoin wallet, amd there should be an option to 'Recieve Bitcoin' somewhere down below. Click on that and it will give you a key, which you have to copy.
Step 4: Now go back to the blocktrades tab, and paste the key that you got from local bitcoin into the 'Bitcoin address' field and then click on the get deposit address. This is will you another key, which you have to copy.
Step 5: Go to your Steemit wallet, and click the drop down menu beside whichever currency you want to sell. Then select 'Tranfer.' This will open up a form. In the to field enter 'blocktrades,' and in the memo field paste the key that you copied. And make sure that the amount you transfer is correct.
Step 6: Now, after some seconds, you will find that there will be some amount of bitcoin in your localbitcoin wallet. This is equal to the amount of steem that you converted.
Click on the 'Quick Sell' option on the top, and select your country and the method of payment that you like. This will give you a list of all the buyers with your given specifications.
Make sure that you choose from the ones on the top, because they are more trustable, and legit. After that, click on the person that you want to sell to, and enter the amount you want to sell. You will have to follow the procedure as given by the buyer, but make sure that they give you the money first, and then transfer the bitcoin. It will automatically show an option to transfer bitcoin. Click that after you have the money from whatever method you chose.
So this was how you can get money from steem, and the good part is that localbitcoin provides so many different payout methods, that it is very easy to find something that suits for you.
