Voting power is like an "energy bar" in a computer game that goes down a little bit every time you vote. Every time you vote, you use a small amount of your power. Less voting power means your votes carry less influence. But not to worry, you start off with 100%, and the network recharges it by 20% every day.

How many times can I vote without depleting my voting power?
You can use up to 40 full strength votes within a 24 hour period without depleting your voting power over time.

Regarding the voting power, the information is out of date, after hf19, the voting power calculatiob has changed to you can have about 10 full power vote each day because the vote is 4x more than before. And this is good for the minnows in deed.
