Everyone who powers up their Steem is powering up themselves and the reward is freedom. This could take the form of financial freedom, or freedom of speech.
So people will say the Steem Power aka Freedom Points can't be spent like Steem Dollars? This is true but Steem Power seems to increase on it's own as if it's being mined. If you get enough Steem Power then you may in fact get that compound interest that rich people like Buffet and Gates like.
