Hello fellow steem mates I would like to introduce you to “Masquerades of Nigeria”. Masquerades are key aspects of Nigeria’s culture; most masquerades represent different cultural backgrounds.
Historically masquerades were mostly seen as fearful spiritual forms with high sacredness, some communities even banned women from seeing masquerades, but in our modern era they are seen as central points for entertainment and festivity where women, men and children can freely participate in the cultural display and celebration of masquerades usually accompanied with music and dance.
