RE: What keeps you at Steem?

in #steem7 years ago

Greetings, @tarazkp
I am one of those who users who have been growing organically. I can't afford to invest on Steem more than I wish. I can't buy more than I get publishing content or via curations. If the venezuelan crisis weren't so severe I would be able to invest whatever money I'd make back in Steemit, but that I can't do at the moment.
I can't say I live off Steem because cashing in one or two SBDs a week is not a significant help even for venezuelans (inflation is devouring every dollar), but it provides some oxigen once on a while.
So, i am here more because of what Steemit has done for me.
It has provided me with a community of people with whom I can share what I do and get useful feedback and from whom I can learn on multiple areas or disciplines.
Steemit has kept me emotionally balanced by allowing me to vent some of my personal concerns in ways that have become therapeutic.
I know of other platforms, but I don't see why they would do better that this, and I can't handle the stress of being here and there (assuming one creates community there too and gets involved in projects, etc). If it were just about posting and waiting for the cash to come... But we know it does not work like that.
So, i am being very conservative in putting all my eggs in one basket, just because i can't afford the time and energy devoted to multiple projects.
I am rooting for a definite takeoff of Steemit as THE platform.
