The big boys heard about Steem.
Frank Schwab, Fintech Specialist and CEO of GIZS mentioned Steem in an Article he wrote for Springer Professional.
The original ariticle is written in German, I have translated some parts into English.
"Rediscover Money, With Crypto Currencies."
The author starts to describe a simple use case which could soon be reality:
Self-driving taxis who print invoices payable directly in cryptocurrencies. "They will also accept Bitcon, Ripple, Ether or Steem."
He goes on to point out how Bitcoin has outperformed all fiat currencies and had a better performance than the DAX, Dow Jones, Gold and Oil.
His belief in the transformative power of Crypto is clear from this sentence:
"Cryptocurrencies will transform the use of traditional money in the same way as fintechs are changing traditional banking."
In the overview about XRP, Ether and Steem he writes:
"Steem is the Cryptocurrency of the equally named social media platform steem.io, whos authors are rewarded with steem".

The GIZS coordinates the development and runs the new online payment system "paydirekt" for the institutions of the German Public Banks Finance Group.
Paydirekt is a payments system for instant payments in online shops.

Opinion:
What does it mean, that the CEO of the company, that runs the major German electronic and online payments facilitator, writes an article about Cryptocurrencies and mentions Steem?
It is clear that he sees Steem as one of the Cryptocurrencies with the most potential. And its very clear why. Everybody uses social media and when Steemit and Busy establish themselves as leading social media platforms, companies will have a huge incentive to accept Steem for payments (for what they will need a cryptopayments service provider) and to become active themselves on Steemit.com.
Are they developing a system which will accept Steem, integratable in online shops? Banks around the globe know that they have to become part of the blockchain and Paydirect as leading electronic payments facilitator for banks will certainly not want to miss the oportunity to be part of the future.
