Can someone explain how posts earn Steem?

in #steem10 years ago

I mean that USD value at the bottom of the post. How does it increase?

I guessed that it was based on votes but I've seen alot of posts with 10 votes that have made like $0.06 while others with the same number of voters have made like $0.38 or something. How does this work? Am I missing something?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Some people have more voting power than others. If you are very very new you have almost no power to your vote. The more activity you have on here the more steem power you receive. The dollar amounts you receive will eventually divide into your steem power and steem dollars. You can then sell steem dollars for bitcoin and then send the bitcoin where ever you like. When you pick out posts that you suspect will become popular and you are one of the first to upvote them - you will get curator points as well. I think there is probably something I missed or messed up and hopefully someone will correct me.

You will learn a lot just by posting and voting and seeing the accumulations. Good luck and keep at it.

Wow that is really helpful! Thanks!

Thanks. I[m listening to this right now.

Alright, thanks.

It's based on the Steem Power of the people that vote. Somebody who invested a lot has a huge steem power, his vote can be worth quite a lot of money. I'm sure somebody will post the relevant links in a few moments.

Great post. I also would like an answer to this question. My guess is it has to do with the amount of steampower the voter has. But i'm not 100% sure.

yeah looks like it. Thanks!

Thank you for posting and answering. I am more familiar with the concept of steemit.
