You gotta take the good with the bad. It usually balances out in the end. Besides for the most part everyone is here trying to make a little money and they are just trying to be efficient with the least effort possible.
Thx for your post. Curation for minnows is almost 0.001 So that would not make a difference in my opinion. To have more Then x upvotes on your OWN post would make sense. For comments Its difficult. I am new And have relative small amount. But i had to start in the beginning with commenting.. the problem is How to filter out spam or real comments.
And u think they find work arounds for Some changes. Like creating more accounts..
Yes, I think that the comments should be complete.
Why do you want to make earning money on Steemit harder just because there are so many spam comments?
We should just simply ignore the spam comments or flag them.
I also receiving spam comments and the authors of the spam comments are often upvote their own comment with like $1, while they completely ignoring my posts and most of my posts mostly earning a few cents.
But making the money earning possibility harder is NOT the solution for this.
Earning rewards is already hard enough, since there are a lot of spammer, ignorant and selfish people on Steemit. I have 364 followers, 50.3 reputation, I'm actively upvoting and resteeming other people's post, but only a few people see and only a few people cares about my posts and I am earning only a few cents per post.
If the developers will remove comment rewards or the self upvote option, they will punish EVERYONE (!) with that action, not just these spammers!

Yeah I noticed this. This happens a lot more with authors who almost always upvote their commenters.

"Remove curation rewards for comments". I am not sure what you aim here is... Removing curation rewards would only make upvoting others even less enticed... And tbh, it's also partly your own fault for upvoting everyone so easily and with the same regard. I know you do it out of love but it ain't helping yourself... (and #1 won't do much good either as people would just make a second account).

I like the option 3 it's the most comfortable in my opinion.
There is no good or comfortable option written in the blog post above, because all of the options would punish everyone and all of the options mentioned in the blog post above just would make the money earning opportunity harder on Steemit.
The wost thing is the removing the self upvote option in my opinion, but all of the options mentioned in the blog post above would be bad for Steemit.
comments are very much related to the upvoted, if self upvoted is useless, people what to do in steemit, sorry to say but thats true.

Yh it is an issue but people like @steemcleaners and many others root them out eventually.

Ignoring the spams is the best way to deal with them, personally I hate self upvoting and hope that feature will be removed by next fork! (Definitely it will not remove, big whales need it)
Anyway dealing with spams is not very easy, but yes we can do!

3 rd one doesn't seems to be good enough i guess as many people will play with it well coming back to the first option you can filter out whom to give or not to that's from my point of view is great i use this for my post's anyways if you feel i spam you comment you can let me know ;p
For me, English is not native, if you remember. I do not exclude mistakes in my comments, for which I am very ashamed. I have more than 1000 followers, half of them are some kind of bot, but there are those who read and comment me. So when I share your post, I can add you votes and followers and then your decision to vote for my comment or not. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Some of your posts for me were very interesting, especially about you traveling to Ukraine and how you learn Russian) resteem ;)
Some cool suggestions there i hope these get implemented soon so that we see lot less or nothing of Spam :)
The first two could be applied in the Next HF that would be very helpful for all steemians :)
