I keep on saying that we'll all know STEEM has made it when people stop giving a shit about STEEM posts and STEEM celebrity. Once a few no shit real celebrities join, watch out...
I work in IT, and I can tell you that in the real world, people don't give a shit about who's writing the code and who's managing the servers. They just want the shit to work, and they want it to be useful.
It would be pretty hilarious if the guy that told the most people about Youtube in the early days was youtubes biggest celebrity.
Or one of the devs working on their search engine.
Lol.
Im not saying folks that do these things dont deserve recognition. They do but focusing all our attention on that as some have claimed we should do is completely wrong.
Steem frontends have become topic centric and the topic is the platform itself. Thats not healthy for the platform. It limits its scope and reach.
You know youre going through a rough time when everyones talking only about one thing.
When everyones rewarding 1 thing.
I have a much lower bar right now: I just want broadly honest vote platform wide
If people are actually voting based on their subjective tastes, that's a huge win. We just need to disincentivize content indifferent milking behavior for now: vote selling, circle jerking etc.
Everything else is a luxury problem.
I agree, those fundamental issues need to be solved or the STEEM-agnostic people will never come en masse.
